With the aim of significantly boosting the communication and professional marketing of the biennial Queensland Truck and Machinery Show the CVIAQ is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry Brunton as Communication and Marketing Manager for the 2009 show.
Commencing with the CVIAQ in late August, Kerry brings with him expertise in media, sales, marketing and event promotion that will enhance CVIAQ’s communication capabilities and assist in delivering even greater marketing penetration, heightened publicity and promotion for the 2009 show.
Holding senior management positions for large media organisations in the UK before migrating to Perth, Western Australia to take up a position with the late Robert Holmes a’ Court’s Bell Media Group, Kerry then moved to Brisbane in 1988 recently taking early retirement after almost 20 years with News Limited.
When asked what prompted him to take on this new role with CVIAQ Kerry said; “I am excited by the sheer scale of this event, reportedly the fifth largest in the world and known in the industry as ‘ The Big One ’ so as a marketer what better brand position could I start off with! My contribution will be to further strengthen the investment made by exhibitors and stakeholders and to work with the industry to deliver a show to remember”
The 2009 Queensland Truck and Machinery Show will be held from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 May at the Royal National Association Showgrounds (also known as the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds) situated in Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills on the edge of the inner city.
