Members of the CVIAQ Service Managers Council met at SkillsTech Australia, Acacia Ridge on Thursday 24th June to tour the worksite of the new heavy vehicle training centre.
SkillsTech Infrastructure Manager, Mr Alan Perry, presented by PowerPoint display, building layouts to the group, showing the locations of the soundproofed dynamometer rooms, practical areas, labs and classrooms.
SkillsTech Business Manager, Mr Chris Kroehn, followed on to discuss key features of the facility, main skilling areas and key equipment to be housed in the new facility.
Led by construction partner, Adco, the group then toured the facility. The building is due for completion in July 2010 with training expected to commence in August 2010.
